What an importer is looking for
A sake importer is choosing between dozens of breweries they cannot visit. What decides it is not the label. It is whether the brewery looks like a real place, with a season, a process, and people who have done this for years.
A photograph of a bottle says none of that. A film of the brewing season says all of it: the steam, the wood, the early mornings, and the hands that make the decisions.
How it works
- Agree what the importer needs to know — the method, the scale, the season, the people.
- Shoot across the season, in the light the work actually happens in.
- Cut a short film for the web and for a meeting, with English subtitles.
- Write the English copy around it, so the film and the page say the same thing.
Common questions
When should we shoot?
Brewing is seasonal, and the film is better made across the season than in a single day. That way the work is shown as it actually runs.
Do you film in Japanese and subtitle?
We film as the work happens and add English subtitles and copy, so the brewery is heard in its own language and understood in the importer’s.
Can you work around the brewery’s schedule?
Yes. We plan around the days the process is running, and stay out of the way of the work.
