What an overseas distributor needs
A distributor is deciding whether they can sell, service and stand behind your machine. They need the specification, the tolerances, the capacity and the support — in English, and in the order they ask for it.
The machine is rarely the problem. The problem is that the material explaining it was written for a domestic buyer who already knows the category.
How it works
- Work out the questions a distributor asks, in the order they ask them.
- Agree the terms — part names, units, tolerances — so one component has one name in every document.
- Write the English material: specification, capability, support, and what happens after the sale.
- Shoot the machine working, so the buyer sees it run rather than reads that it runs.
Common questions
Do you translate the technical documents?
We work from them, but we write for the reader. A literal translation of a domestic specification is not what a distributor needs in order to decide.
Can you handle units and tolerances?
Yes, and we agree them first. Unit confusion is the most common way a good machine reads as unreliable.
Do you need to see the machine?
Ideally. Filming it running answers more than any paragraph, and a buyer who cannot visit is looking for exactly that.
